PLYWOOD AND 3 INTERESTING THINGS THAT YOU MAY NOT KNOW

PLYWOOD AND 3 INTERESTING THINGS THAT YOU MAY NOT KNOW

Ply wood is characterized by high strength and dimensional stability and has advantages over wood, for example. To get more news about commercial plywood, you can visit boosterplywood.com official website.

- Due to the interlocking effect of the veneer layers, plywood has better (less) swelling and shrinking properties than solid wood panels. Ply wood is used where high loads and thin sections are required.

- Ply wood is light in weight, easy to combine with other materials, easy to work with, withstands temperature changes and is aesthetically pleasing.

- Its strength, thermal conductivity and environmental properties are much higher than that of other wood-based board materials, such as particle board, fiberboard and MDF.
Formaldehyde release - plastic emissions from ply wood is very low and meets international environmental standards.

- On the other hand, like other building materials, ply wood can pose health risks. It contains an irritant, formaldehyde, which is classified by the International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC) as a proven human carcinogen.

- Faced with the realization of this risk, ply wood manufacturers are moving towards less use of these substances, which are especially harmful to employees handling this material.
Different quality levels have been defined for ply wood. Their meanings are given below:

- A: Name for a light colored ply wood with absolutely no notches in the top layers. Only minimal bleeding is allowed in ply wood of this quality.

Bleach: The powder layer is completely bleached with no notches on the top layers. This wood is very light and does not bleed.

- AB: This light-colored membrane also has no knots on the top layers and may bleed colored. There may be a few healthy, overgrown branches, but this is rare.

- B: With this layer of paper, there can be small, unfussy knots that grow firmly. Color inputs and knots up to 8mm as well as putty are allowed.

- BB: This is the layer with branches. Color, irregular or flat knots and small cracks in the top layers are also allowed in this quality level. The use of mainsprings up to 15mm is allowed and the use of putty is allowed.

- C: Lowest quality grade. Here the wood can have nicks, irregularities as well as cracks and all natural defects. Untreated defects in the top layers and wood defects can also occur here.

Usually two quality specifications are separated by a slash. (Example: A/B) The first letter refers to the front and the second to the back.

Argentina legend's top 10 best games for his country as he turns 35

Argentina legend's top 10 best games for his country as he turns 35

The seven-time Ballon d'Or winner sent records tumbling at Barcelona and, while he has not yet peaked at PSG, remains a talisman for his countryTo get more news about XemBD, you can visit xembd.cc official website.

The opposition may not have been the toughest, but Lionel Messi nevertheless gave everything in a stunning performance to destroy Estonia on June 5 as an all-time great gave another exhibition of his remarkable ability.

All of Argentina's goals in a convincing 5-0 win came via the Paris Saint-Germain wizard, who became just the third player in national team history to hit as many in one match – and the first since Juan Marvezzi all the way back in 1941.

Messi is accustomed to turning it on when he puts on his nation's shirt, as he once did in club colours at Barcelona, but which were his very best games for Argentina? On the day that the seven-time Ballon d'Or winner turns 35, GOAL takes a look through the years to find La Pulga's greatest hits...One of Messi's greatest virtues as a player is that he is not just one of the best in scoring goals, he can also set up his team-mates with ease.

The Copa America Centenario semi-final against hosts United States showed off to perfection those two facets of his game.

Not only did he find the net with an outrageous free-kick effort, he also set up another two goals in a 4-0 rout to send the Albiceleste through to the final.Qualifying for the World Cup out of the CONMEBOL region, despite Argentina's relatively simple passage this time round, is almost never a straightforward prospect.

In 2011, the Albiceleste had made a distinctly underwhelming start to their campaign, losing for the first time to Venezuela and then dropping points at home to Bolivia. A visit to Colombia followed, and Alejandro Sabella's charges feared the worst when Dorlan Pabon fired the hosts in front just before half-time.

Colombia had been well on top before the break but, led by Messi and helped by some savvy tactical changes on Sabella's part, Argentina came out a different team, levelling through the new national team captain before Sergio Aguero clinched three points seven minutes from time.

Not only did that game put Argentina back on track, but it was also the beginning of Messi, Aguero and Gonzalo Higuain's partnership up front, a potent trident that would fire them to the brink of World Cup glory within three years.More than five years had passed since Messi's last knockout goal for Argentina when Lionel Scaloni's men lined up against Ecuador in the quarter-finals of the Copa America. But while he left it late, the strike truly proved worth the wait.

The Barcelona ace had pulled all the strings for his side throughout the game, playing in both Rodrigo De Paul and Lautaro Martinez for their goals to put Argentina 2-0 ahead. Then, in injury time, it looked as though he would have the chance to add his own when Piero Hincapie appeared to commit a penalty on Angel Di Maria.

A VAR check eventually changed the decision, giving Messi a free-kick on the edge of the box. But it did not change the captain's task much, as he dispatched a glorious effort to notch Argentina's third and round off a brilliant all-round display.

The Hand of God' is why Maradona was hated by some but loved

The Hand of God' is why Maradona was hated by some but loved

"That goal became part of soccer history," he wrote in his autobiography. "There are still 10-year-old kids out there today with 'Maradona' on their backs. To get more news about VeboTV, you can visit vebobd.live official website.

Indeed, it is impossible to discuss Maradona's first goal for Argentina in their 2-1 win over England in the quarter-finals of the 1986 World Cup without almost immediately mentioning his second.

The two are bound together in footballing folklore, perfectly contrasting examples of the ingenuity of the most polarising personality the game is ever likely to see.

Maradona was the quintessential troubled genius, a man blessed with a gift that cursed him with a level of fame which he found himself unable to handle.

Were he playing today, he would undoubtedly benefit from more protection from referees – and arguably from himself.

"In our era, footballers didn't get the support they needed," ex-England international John Barnes tells GOAL. "So, you had lots of players like Maradona back then who were considered a bit crazy.

"Now, though, I think that with the support and discipline inherent in the modern game, you don't get players like that anymore."You don't get goals like the 'Hand of God' anymore either. With VAR, Maradona's opener against England would have been swiftly disallowed.

There may not have been as many cameras at the Azteca Stadium in Mexico City on June 22, 1986 as there would be at an average top-flight game today, but it was clear to many of those watching in real time that Maradona had used his hand to flick the ball past the onrushing Peter Shilton and into the net.

"We all saw it," Barnes said. "All of us on the bench – the players, the coaches, the manager – we all saw it clear as day. We all knew he'd handled the ball, so we just couldn't believe the referee hadn't seen it."Ali Bin Nasser has never blamed himself for failing to notice Maradona using his left hand to beat the onrushing England goalkeeper Shilton to a miscued attempted clearance from Steve Hodge in the 51st minute of the game. The Tunisian official has always insisted that he was let down by his linesman, Bogdan Dochev.

"If you look at the match, you can see that Dochev was in a better position,” Bin Nasser told Olé in 2001.

"I had my doubts, but when I saw that the linesman was running toward the centre circle, I gave the goal because I was obliged to follow FIFA's rules [that the decision of the official with the better vantage point should take precedence]."

In Bin Nasser's defence, not everyone watching was sure what had happened either. Commentator Barry Davies, who was covering the game for the BBC, had initially thought that England's players were appealing for offside.

Terry Fenwick, though, had seen the handball clearly and he raced up to the halfway line to remonstrate with Bin Nasser. However, only Glenn Hoddle was as visibly incensed as Fenwick, which bemused Argentina defender Oscar Ruggeri.

"Imagine if it had been the other way around," Ruggeri says to GOAL. "We would still be chasing the referee today!

"But some of them, like us, probably thought Diego had beaten the goalkeeper to the ball with his head. Diego even told us that it had been a header! It was genius how he ran off celebrating.

"Myself and Tata (Jose Luis Brown) at the back didn't have permission to celebrate goals at the other end of the field because it would have meant an 80-metre sprint at altitude in insane heat.

But it was Ukraine who confirmed their spot in the playoff final by beating Scotland 3-1 at Hampden Park after the initial fixture was postponed due to the countries invasion by Russia.

Wales only have one World Cup appearance to their name which came all the way back in 1958 when a 17-year-old Pele scored as Brazil dumped them out in the quarters.

Ukraine meanwhile also have only qualified once since breaking away from the Soviet Union as they similarly reached the quarters in 2006.This match will be broadcast live on Sky Sports Main Event and Sky Sports Football with live coverage starting from 4pm.

"As a Wales fan and wanting Wales to go through you’ve obviously got mixed emotions, because it’s the compassion you feel for Ukraine,” Earnshaw told Radio Wales Breakfast.

"But what I feel and I think what most people in Wales will feel on Sunday is we’re going to put that aside, because this is a football match and we’re in competition in football for those 90 minutes.

"It is very tough when you’re faced with something like this because it’s about humanity in this moment and I think everyone has felt so much for Ukraine. They feel the pain, they feel the pain of a country at war.”

Former Ukraine striker and manager Andriy Shevchenko added: "We need to play for the fans, for the whole of Ukraine, for those at home, for those defending the country and for those who left the country.”

England rugby coach Eddie Jones condemns FIFA

England rugby coach Eddie Jones condemns FIFA

According to reports, the governing body wants to give fans unprecedented access into teams’ inner sanctums during the global football spectacle. To get more news about bongda24h, you can visit 24h.live official website.

FIFA wants to introduce the new behind-the-scenes coverage to give viewers access to all areas of the tournament and bring them close to players like never before.

It is understood the move would see cameras and TV monitors installed inside the home and away dressing rooms at each of Qatar’s eight World Cup stadiums, with footage from within being broadcast before, at half-time and after matches.

The footage would be live or with a slight delay, but it is claimed managers have demanded sound will be muted so team news and tactics aren’t leaked to opponents.

The move would see England manager Gareth Southgate’s half-time team talks broadcast to the world, with fans given incredible access to what happens in the dressing room in real time.

However, it appears not all are behind the scheme, with even England rugby chief Jones saying it’s a bad idea."I think we should leave it to the players to prepare for that without having a camera looking in there.

"We run our own inside documentary where we show a lot of the team, and we’re quite open to sharing the team, but I think there are some times where you‘ve got to leave the players alone and I’m really big on that.”

Former Man City manager and West Ham first-team coach Stuart Pearce agrees, saying the players’ privacy must be respected.

I think a lot of people inside the game will agree,” added the talkSPORT pundit.

"I quite like that little bit of mystique, I don’t like everyone to know everything.

"In some areas, and a lot of coaches certainly of Eddie’s standing, we want a bit of privacy within that dressing room.”

E-bikes sweep Montana bike shops

E-bikes sweep Montana bike shops

It was a light blue cargo bike branded 'spicy curry' that helped Billings resident Kevin Odenthal take the leap to sell his car and commit to a daily bike commute. To get more news about fatest ebike, you can visit magicyclebike.com official website.

"For me, it's just about extending what I already do," Odenthal said. "I can get almost everywhere on a bike in about the same amount of time it takes to drive."Odenthal's bike is designed to carry cargo, allowing him to make trips to Costco and the grocery store, then pedal up the hill to his house. To get more news about 52V Ebike, you can visit magicyclebike.com official website.

But his bike helps him do the work.

"Contrary to what people might think, an e-bike doesn't do the work for you, but it does give you more power for each pedal stroke. Depending what type of bike you get, it might double the power of your pedal stroke, or it might do four times the power of your pedal stroke," Odenthal said.To get more news about himiway ebike, you can visit magicyclebike.com official website.

"The way I like to explain it is, it’s you only stronger and it’s further, faster, funner," says Dean Cromwell, owner of The Spoke Shop, a Billings-based bike shop celebrating its 50th year in the community next year.

Like bike shops around the world, The Spoke Shop is seeing a boom in e-bike business.Five years ago people came in and we said ‘hey you should try one of these e-bikes’ and they’d say, ‘what’s an e-bike?’ to now, where they come in and go ‘where are all the e-bikes?’ So it’s changed significantly," Cromwell said.

Cromwell says e-bikes make up a significant part of The Spoke Shop's business, which reflects a global trend.

According to Precedence Research, the global e-bike market was around $16.5 billion in 2020 and is expected to reach $40 billion by 2030.

They already have established customer bases in Europe and New Zealand, and the fastest growing markets are in Asia and Africa.

"We expected the growth because we were told by the industry that this is the next big thing. And if you want to be part of the next big thing, you need to embrace e-bikes. We just had no idea how big that was going to be," Cromwell said.

E-bikes are attracting consumers mostly interested in recreation, and Cromwell says they're making a big stride in accessibility. On an e-bike, especially for people who are getting older, they’ve had a hip replacement, a knee replacement, I’ve got a million stories of people going ‘oh my god, I feel like a kid again,’ and that’s what makes them awesome.”

But along with recreation, e-bikes are helping people re-think their commute—whether the motivation is to save on gas money, reduce commissions, or both.

"For me, carbon emissions for sure," Odenthal said. "I was already making this transition before gas prices went up, but it's certainly a bonus."

Odenthal says Billings has made big steps in becoming more bike-friendly with more extensive networks of trails, maps and apps to access them, and an increasing courtesy between drivers and bicyclists.

Cromwell says if you're interested in trying an e-bike yourself, head on down to the shop and he will help you out.

"There was this crazy bike boom during COVID, which has pretty much tapered off, however, e-bikes were gaining momentum before COVID, have continued to have momentum, and we expect that to continue pretty much forever. It really is the next big thing," Cromwell said.

What is 2D drafting and drawing?

What is 2D drafting and drawing?

2D drafting and drawing is the process of creating and editing technical drawings, as well as annotating designs. Drafters use computer-aided design (CAD) software to develop floor plans, building permit drawings, building inspection plans, and landscaping layouts (US site). To get more news about 2d drafting online, you can visit shine news official website.

CAD software for 2D drafting can be used to draft designs more quickly and with greater precision, without using stencils and technical drawing instruments. 2D CAD software also allows users to document and annotate drawings with text, dimensions, leaders, and tables.
More options, choices and tools to suit your specific needs and preferences. Real design freedom is letting you work the way you want to work. It’s the ability to effortlessly go from 2D drafting to 3D modeling and back again in order to optimize and maximize designs. And the capability to seamlessly integrate with other Dassault Systèmes and SOLIDWORKS® solutions, including SOLIDWORKS PDM to easily manage your DWG designs from first inspiration to final printout. DraftSight gives you the freedom to do what you do best — no matter who you are or what you’re trying to accomplish.

It’s no secret that work has changed tremendously over the past few years. We’re facing overlapping challenges while also adjusting to an everchanging workplace. Working hard is a given, but what if I told you there is an easier way to actually work smarter, to be more productive, more innovative, and experience greater success, however that’s defined by your organization?!

I recently shared an article on AUGI about finding ways to work smarter that looked at processes, tools, and how we spend our time and money. And I’m here to tell you that the right CAD solution can make all the difference in reducing your repetitive work and freeing up time for your most important work.

Let’s take a closer look at some of DraftSight’s productivity tools and automations that can save you hours, and even days, including the enhanced Sheet Set Manager, Configurable Blocks, PDF Import, and many tools found only in DraftSight. You might even find that DraftSight’s key features can significantly improve your current workflow.
The Sheet Set Manager is an organizational tool that helps you manage a large set of drawing sheets across multiple DWG files. I am a major fan of this functionality because it prevents you from having to tediously open individual sheets or files to apply properties and print settings globally. You can read all about the enhancements to Sheet Set Manager in DraftSight 2022 here.

DraftSight 2022 also added Custom Blocks, which can be configured to contain all your necessary design variations. Custom Blocks help you save time, effort, and storage space with the ability to cover multiple design variations in one single block. You’re also going to save time and increase compatibility since DraftSight also lets you edit legacy AutoCAD® Dynamic Blocks®.

Import Multiple PDF Files at Once

The ability to import PDF geometry in CAD was a significant game changer, but did you know that DraftSight is the only one that allows you to import multiple PDF files at once?! This can be done from either a multi-sheet PDF, or as a batch process from a folder full of individual PDF files. This one can save you days alone! My personal favorite, PowerTrim, allows you to quickly and accurately trim multiple entities by simply dragging your pointer across them. Since PowerTrim automatically considers everything in your drawing to be a cutting edge, you can save time and lessen your frustration by not having to identify and select those entities individually. You literally just hop in and start trimming!

Toolbox Layers (or TB Layers, for short) is a Mechanical Toolbox feature that everyone can use to maintain your CAD standards. TB Layers allow you to map the layer of your choice to any type of DraftSight Entity. You can even specify the LineColor, LineStyle, or LineWeight, if you want.

Imagine how much time you’ll save by not having to switch your active layer every time you decide to draw a new type of entity. Your dimensions will always be on the right layer. The same with your tables, hatches, viewports, centerlines, etc.

I’ve always wanted an "easy button” for dimensioning. Something that lets you just select an area around your drawing, and Bam! The software does the work for you. Guess what? DraftSight lets you do that. It’s appropriately called Auto Dimension.

Simply select the entities you want to dimension with a Bounding Box, then set various options in the Auto Dimension palette. For both Horizontal and Vertical Dimensions, you can specify whether they’ll be Baseline, Continuous, or Ordinate dimensions. You’ll also need to decide if you want the Horizontal dims to be placed above or below the bounding box, and whether the Vertical dims are to the right or left.

China's Shanghai Denies Lockdown Rumours As It Nears 1,000 Covid Cases

China's Shanghai Denies Lockdown Rumours As It Nears 1,000 Covid Cases

Authorities in the Chinese city of Shanghai have denied rumours of a city-wide lockdown after a sixth straight increase in daily asymptomatic coronavirus cases pushed its count to record levels despite a campaign of mass testing aimed at stifling the spread. To get more news about shanghai covid, you can visit shine news official website.
The latest outbreak in China's wealthy commercial hub remains tiny by global standards but authorities are proceeding with the testing campaign that has seen many people locked in residential compounds for days as the city implements a national "dynamic clearance" policy aimed at stamping out flare-ups as they arise.

Total local COVID-19 infections in Shanghai approached 1,000 on Tuesday, but the city said late in the day it would stick to its "slicing and gridding" approach and screen its citizens neighbourhood by neighbourhood rather than shut down entirely.

The lockdown rumours triggered panic buying late on Tuesday night, with slots on Alibaba's "Freshhippo" delivery app running out a minute after midnight."Please do not believe and spread rumours," the city government said on its Weibo microblog site.

A health official told a briefing on Wednesday that the city had turned two stadiums into quarantine facilities for mild cases and asymptomatic carriers.A handful of subway stations also suspended operations on Wednesday, the firm managing the transit system said, citing COVID-19 controls.

The municipality reported 977 domestically transmitted asymptomatic infections for Tuesday, data from the National Health Commission (NHC) showed, up from 865 a day earlier.Throughout the city, while some compounds were unsealed, others were shut for several more days to try to eliminate transmission chains. Some residents said they would be sealed off for two weeks after a neighbour tested positive.

One resident posting on Weibo under the username "Zhang Fan's Viewpoint" said authorities might as well lock the city down and put an end to the uncertainty caused by 48-hour lockdowns for testing that are often extended.

"This infinite loop of 48 hours plus 48 hours plus 48 hours is more likely to cause ordinary people to lose control of their emotions, and it would be better to directly notify six days, eight days or even 14 days," the resident said.

Mainland China reported 2,591 locally transmitted cases with confirmed symptoms on Tuesday, versus 2,281 a day earlier, the NHC data showed. The number of new local asymptomatic cases stood at 2,346 compared with 2,313 a day earlier.

The top steelmaking city of Tangshan said late on Tuesday residents who are not essential workers must stay home unless in an emergency or they need to be tested. The city government did not specify when the citywide lockdown would be lifted.

The northeastern city of Shenyang also announced that its 9 million residents would have to go through another three rounds of testing from Thursday through to March 30, after the three rounds already completed. As of March 22, mainland China had reported 137,231 cases with confirmed symptoms, including both local ones and those arriving from outside the mainland. There were no new deaths, leaving the death toll at 4,638.

China battles worst Covid outbreak for two years as cases double in 24 hours

China battles worst Covid outbreak for two years as cases double in 24 hours

China reported nearly 3,400 daily Covid-19 cases on Sunday, double the previous day, forcing lockdowns on virus hotspots as the country contends with its gravest outbreak in two years. To get more news about coronavirus china update, you can visit shine news official website.

A nationwide surge in cases has seen authorities close schools in Shanghai and lock down several north-eastern cities, as almost 19 provinces battle clusters of the Omicron and Delta variants.

The city of Jilin has been partially locked down, with hundreds of neighbourhoods sealed up, an official announced Sunday, while Yanji, an urban area of nearly 700,000 bordering North Korea, was fully closed off.China, where the virus was first detected in late 2019, has maintained a strict zero-Covid policy enforced by swift lockdowns, travel restrictions and mass testing when clusters have emerged.

But the latest flare-up, driven by the highly transmissible Omicron variant and a spike in asymptomatic cases, is challenging that approach.

Zhang Yan, an official with the Jilin provincial health commission, admitted on Sunday that local authorities’ virus response so far had been lacking.

"The emergency response mechanism in some areas is not robust enough, there is insufficient understanding of the characteristics of the Omicron variant … and judgment has been inaccurate,” he said at a government press briefing.Residents of Jilin have completed six rounds of mass testing, local officials said. On Sunday the city reported more than 500 cases of the Omicron variant.

The neighbouring city of Changchun – an industrial base of nine million people – was locked down on Friday.

The smaller cities of Siping and Dunhua, both in Jilin province, were locked down Thursday and Friday, according to official announcements.

The mayor of Jilin and the head of the Changchun health commission were dismissed from their jobs Saturday, state media reported, in a sign of the political imperative placed on local authorities to squash virus clusters. But fatigue with the strict approach has been showing in China, with officials increasingly urging softer and more targeted measures to contain the virus, while economists warn that tough clampdowns are hurting the economy.

As cases have climbed since late February, the response in different parts of the country has been generally softer and more targeted compared to December, when the city of Xi’an and its 13 million people were locked down for two weeks.

In China’s biggest city, Shanghai, authorities have increasingly moved to temporarily lock down individual schools, businesses, restaurants and malls over close-contact fears rather than mass quarantines.Long lines have been seen outside hospitals in the city as people rush to obtain a negative Covid test.

As cases rise, the country’s national health commission announced Friday that they would introduce the use of rapid antigen tests. The kits will now be available online or at pharmacies for clinics and ordinary citizens to buy for "self-testing”, the health commission said.

Although nucleic acid tests will continue to be the main method of testing, the move suggests China may be anticipating that official efforts will not be able to contain the virus.Last week, a top Chinese scientist said the country should aim to coexist with the virus, like other nations, where Omicron has spread like wildfire.

But the government has also made clear that mass lockdowns remain an option.Chinese vice-premier Sun Chunlan, who frequently telegraphs top-level thinking on the pandemic response, on Saturday urged regions to quickly pounce on and clear outbreaks.

USMNT PLAYING FREE AND LOOSE AHEAD OF HUGE TEST VS. URUGUAY

USMNT PLAYING FREE AND LOOSE AHEAD OF HUGE TEST VS. URUGUAY

We didn’t see much of that during the U.S.’s 14 World Cup qualifying games, which in retrospect makes sense. Although coach Gregg Berhalter and his players did their best to downplay it, the pressure on this undeniably talented — yet historically young and inexperienced — American side to make it back to sports’ grandest stage was nothing short of colossal following the failure to make it to the 2018 World Cup.To get more news about XemBD, you can visit xembd.cc official website.

Now that their trip to this year’s event is booked, the Americans are having fun. And they’re looking to build on that momentum in their next match Sunday against an even better team in Edinson Cavani-led Uruguay (5 p.m. ET, FOX).

"We’re still getting that experience against high-level teams, so playing a team like Uruguay that has a lot of stars is amazing," said U.S winger Tim Weah, who scored (along with Brenden Aaronson and Haji Wright) in Wednesday’s win over Morocco.

"We’re going to go in there with full confidence," added defender Erik Palmer-Brown. "It’s going to be an amazing feeling to go show what we can do against a quality opponent."

Even without all-time top scorer Luis Suarez on the roster for this friendly, Uruguay is certainly that. La Celeste might even be the best team the U.S will face before the main event kicks off in November.

The Americans will round out this month’s four-match slate by facing relative minnows Grenada and El Salvador in the CONCACAF Nations League. Their final two tune-up matches in September haven’t yet been announced, but they are not expected to be against European or South American competition.

Uruguay boasts plenty of all-planet talent besides Manchester United striker Cavani, including the likes of Barcelona defender Ronald Araújo and midfielder Federico Valverde, who last week helped Real Madrid win the UEFA Champions League title.FIFA’s 13th-ranked team will provide a stern challenge for a U.S. team that will make at least three lineup changes; Berhalter revealed Saturday that Sean Johnson will spell Matt Turner in goal, with veteran right back DeAndre Yedlin and central midfielder Weston McKennie replacing Reggie Cannon and Aaronson, respectively. Joe Scally could also come in at left back if Antonee "Jedi" Robinson can’t go; Robinson has a non-COVID-related illness that could impact his availability Sunday.

Uruguay are coming off an impressive 3-0 win of their own. They routed Mexico on Thursday in Glendale, Arizona, with Cavani scoring twice. But they’re dangerous all over the field.

"I watched all of the highlights from that Mexico-Uruguay game," Palmer-Brown said. "Mexico didn’t do bad. It was just a lot of transition moments. So I think that’s probably what we’ll be focusing on a lot, not getting caught out in transition.""We've seen a front six that's very dynamic in the way that they join the attack and attack the penalty box and are able to finish," said U.S. center back Aaron Long, who is coming off his first start for the U.S. since he ruptured his Achilles tendon 13 months ago. "They also have guys on the wings that are really dynamic 1v1 and in creating opportunities for the strikers, who are obviously great goal scorers."

While Berhalter is rotating out his keeper and possibly both fullbacks for this game, he opted to keep the Long-Walker Zimmerman center back pairing intact rather than start Kansas City native Palmer-Brown, perhaps in part because of the chemistry Long has with Zimmerman dating to the 2019 Gold Cup. Sunday’s contest will tell us plenty about the duo’s ability to shut down the sort of strikers they’ll face this fall.

WORLD CUP 2022: USMNT PLAYERS ON BUBBLE BATTLE FOR FINAL ROSTER SPOTS

WORLD CUP 2022: USMNT PLAYERS ON BUBBLE BATTLE FOR FINAL ROSTER SPOTS

Members of the World Cup-bound U.S. Men’s National Team often talk about how tight they are off the field, how much they respect one another and how their relationships have blossomed the past few years beyond being mere colleagues or acquaintances or even close friends. To get more news about VeboTV, you can visit vebobd.live official website.

Most of Morris’ teammates also refer to the USMNT as a "brotherhood." So does U.S. coach Gregg Berhalter. And although it’s easy to dismiss that designation as a tired cliché — the cutthroat reality of top-level professional sports is that there is hardly room for sentiment or loyalty — this historically young American player pool does appear to have a camaraderie that is unusually strong.

That bond is being put to the test this month. Although the collective goal for the Americans for most of the past year was just to return to the World Cup after missing out in 2018, now the individual focus is to make the team.

And a few final World Cup roster spots remain up for grabs, even if the majority of the 26 players currently in El Salvador for Tuesday’s CONCACAF Nations League contest against the hosts (10 p.m. ET, FS1) will also be on the plane to Qatar come November.

The clock is ticking for the bubble guys. Three of the four June matches have been played. After Tuesday’s encounter, the U.S. will have just two final tune-ups — in September in Europe against opponents to be announced — to prepare for the greatest show in sports.

For some players, the trip to San Salvador represents their last best chance to cement their place and fulfill a lifelong ambition. They all want to go to the World Cup, of course. If that means seeing the dreams of someone they care deeply about crushed, so be it.

"A word that kind of describes it is ‘frenemies,’" said midfielder Kellyn Acosta, who played 90 minutes in Friday’s 5-0 Nations League win over Grenada after sitting out friendlies versus Uruguay and Morocco. "We’re friends off the field. But on the field, we’re competing."

There are jobs to be won at forward and in central defense. But perhaps no position on the U.S team is more hotly contested than right back. With projected World Cup starter Sergi?o Dest out this summer because of the hamstring injury he suffered in May while playing for Barcelona, veterans Reggie Cannon and DeAndre Yedlin and teenager Joe Scally have been vying for what might end up being one spot. If the culture in the locker room isn’t good or teammates can’t stand each other as people, things could get awkward.

"We’re competing for a World Cup roster spot, but that doesn’t mean that the relationship has to deteriorate," Cannon said. "I still root for Sergi?o when he’s on the field, and he roots for me.

"As deep as the right back position is, the relationships we all have are so good," he added. "They’re my closest friends on the team, but we’re super competitive when it comes to training."

Out on the wings, the margins are almost as fine. Although Brenden Aaronson, Christian Pulisic, Giovanni Reyna and Tim Weah are World Cup locks if healthy, there is no guarantee for backups such as Morris, Paul Arriola and Cristian Roldan. For them, making the most of any remaining opportunity is essential. Maintaining a team-first attitude can also bolster their odds.

The living stories of Seattle’s favorite karaoke spots in the age

The living stories of Seattle’s favorite karaoke spots in the age

There’s nothing better at shattering the ‘Seattle Freeze’ than a night of Karaoke. This nocturnal pastime welcomes the anonymous, the slightly drunk, and the go-getters all the same. Singing Karaoke is an act of letting go and expressing oneself without judgement or fear.To get more news about Karaoke CBD Melbourne, you can visit starsktv.com.au official website.

Many of Seattle’s Karaoke establishments also serve as a nexus of community. Providing space for celebration, as longtime friends and regulars convene underneath the dancing glow of lyric screens.

But all of this changed on March 16, 2020, with the state-ordered closure of all restaurants and bars to curb the spread of COVID-19.

As of now, many of these businesses remain closed, or not fully open. And despite progress in vaccine development, it’s likely that the necessity of physical distancing will endure through 2021.

In an effort to better understand the past, present, and future of Karaoke in Seattle, we linked up with three distinct Karaoke establishments in Seattle to learn about their struggles and hopes during this confluence of crises. Serving the Northern University District since 1993, Monkey Pub is a humble dive bar that is home to an eclectic group of regulars and walk-ins alike. It’s walls, plastered with worn posters and collages of polaroids, tell countless stories; as if every person that stepped inside has, in some way or another, left a mark that remains to this day.

In the early 2000s, one of the bartenders, inspired by a Neil Diamond concert, brought a used Karaoke machine to the bar. Unknowingly, this led to regular Karaoke nights at the pub, consistently bringing in new customers.

Juan Rowland has been the Tuesday night Karaoke-Jockey (KJ) for over six years. He’s become a fixture at Monkey Pub, known for his gregarious and welcoming presence. "There are some big personalities that come in here every week.” He laughs, "It’s my job to try to get the personality to come out of the new people that come in.”

Like every other bar in the city, Monkey Pub stopped service in late March. It was able to briefly re-open, but its lack of outdoor seating space became detrimental.

"We were open from mid-June to the end of July,” explains bar manager Anthony Rewerts, "That’s when they went to 10% capacity and we had to have a patio and would only be open till 10. We didn’t have a lot of business before then.”

Still, the short opening offered a respite for its loyal community of regulars. They even coordinated among themselves to split their visits between Friday and Saturday night so as not to overcrowd the bar.

Nowadays with the bar closed again until they can feasibly reopen with later hours and higher capacity, Anthony is often Monkey Pub’s only guest.

Gabriel Jesus' Arsenal move has World Cup implications for Brazil

Gabriel Jesus' Arsenal move has World Cup implications for Brazil

Gabriel Jesus hit the ground running when he joined Manchester City. Still a teenager at the start of 2017, the striker made such an impression that for a while he was in the starting lineup and City legend Sergio Aguero was on the bench. To get more news about Bdlive, you can visit bdlive.vn official website.

Five and a half years later, it is apparent that he has not become the long-term successor to Aguero, an impression reinforced by City's acquisition of Erling Haaland. And with the Norway international joining the club along with Argentine striker Julian Alvarez, Jesus is clearly concerned at being squeezed out of first-team action in the vital few months ahead of the World Cup. Jesus is set to move south to Arsenal with his career at the crossroads and with a key question hanging over him: what type of striker is he?
Back in 2017, it looked clear. He was a versatile and mobile operator capable of working all across the front line, but he was going to mature into a top-class centre-forward. At the time that he joined City, Jesus already appeared to be the solution to what had become a surprisingly long-term problem with the Brazilian national team. He was thrown into the deep end in World Cup qualification in September 2016 at centre-forward, won his debut game away to Ecuador and did not look back. He scored seven goals in nine World Cup qualifiers, grabbed the winner when Brazil played a warm up friendly away to Germany and went to Russia 2018 with an impressive record of nine goals in his first 15 games.

Jesus failed to score a single goal in Russia. Brazil has fielded much-maligned centre-forwards in the past -- Serginho in 1982 or Fred in 2014, for example. But at least they managed to get on the scoresheet. Coach Tite confessed that he wished he had made a change in the position during the competition. He should have brought in Roberto Firmino, he said, to replace Jesus. For the player, the 2018 World Cup left a trauma that remains to this day.

In those early days when he was banging in goals for his country, a comparison was made between Jesus and the original Brazilian Ronaldo. The source could not have been more authoritative; it was Ronaldo himself. Nowadays, it is not a comparison that anyone would make, which is not necessarily a criticism of Jesus. He has simply developed in different ways. Ronaldo bulked up into a powerhouse of a centre-forward. Jesus has not been through the same physical process, and there are doubts about his lack of penalty-area presence.
But what is the root of such doubts? Is it a lack of physical strength? Or does it come from question marks in the player's own mind?

Brazil have hardly used Jesus as a centre-forward since Russia 2018, but in part that is his own choice. Tite called him over and asked him where he would like to play. He replied that he had no preference. The coach pushed him harder for an answer, and he eventually declared himself happier attacking from wide.

Cutting in from the flanks certainly suits some of his characteristics. He is a sleek figure running with the ball and is excellent at appearing as an element of surprise to put pressure on opposing defenders. But has he been running away from the goal-scoring responsibilities of the centre-forward? If he could do the job for his country five years ago -- and could be selected for City ahead of Aguero -- then why not now?

Gunners boss Mikel Arteta, of course, was there at City on Pep Guardiola's staff when Jesus made such a promising start to Premier League life. Arteta surely has a vision for how his new signing will fit into the Arsenal side. It is important that both of them are on the same page -- not only for Arsenal but also for Jesus' World Cup future.Earlier this month, Jesus found the net for Brazil in a friendly away to South Korea, breaking a long dry sequence of 19 games and nearly three years without a goal. He has had plenty of opportunities: seven World Cup qualifiers plus four games off the bench, four matches in last year's Copa America and another four friendlies. He showed an understandable sense of relief, then, after cutting in from the right to plant a left-footed shot inside the far corner. It was a fine effort, but it was a stoppage-time goal in a 5-1 friendly win.

Meanwhile, plenty of other Brazilian strikers have emerged, especially over the past 12 months. Competition for a place in Qatar is fierce. If the squads were to contain the traditional amount of 23 players, then, for all his versatility, Jesus would really be sweating on a slot. The increase to 26 gives him a much better chance of making the cut. Game time at club level could be important at getting him on the plane and higher up the pecking order -- and this is surely a massive factor in his desire to move away from Manchester City.

Flamengo striker Pedro could be Brazil's World Cup bolter

Flamengo striker Pedro could be Brazil's World Cup bolter

Fiorentina may have seen no further use for him after just four games in their colours, and he has spent much of the last two years on the bench. Even so, Flamengo striker Pedro is a good outside bet to make Brazil's World Cup squad. To get more news about bongda24h, you can visit 24h.live official website.

How can this be so? It's because Pedro offers something that Brazil have been lacking: An out and out centre-forward, a tall striker with penalty area presence and a rich technical repertoire, able to finish off both feet or in the air, aware of what is going on around him and able to bring others into the game with adept flicks and clever passes.

How come, then, is Pedro not a household name all over the world? If he has all these virtues, then why has his career taken such a strange path? The main explanation is that Pedro lacks one of the qualities which is usually seen as necessary for success in the modern game: he is not quick. His movements are long and loping, sometimes making it look as if he is moving in slow motion. This is not a striker who can frequently be slipped to run in behind the defensive line. And this was clearly a problem almost three years ago when he moved across the Atlantic to join Fiorentina.

Pedro is one of the many successful recent products of the youth academy of the Fluminense club in his native Rio de Janeiro. Domestic Brazilian football, with its deep defensive lines, proved to his liking. In the more compact Italian game it was harder to make an impression. He was kept further from goal, away from the zone of the field where he does his best work. It may also be the case that he had yet to make a full recovery from a knee ligament operation suffered the previous year. When he suffered the injury, Pedro had just been called up in coach Tite's first squad after the 2018 World Cup. He had to drop out. New Tottenham Hotspur signing Richarlison, who had just joined Everton at the time, came in to replace Pedro, and has not looked back.
Pedro could only lament, but at least he knew that Brazil's coach was an admirer. After just half a season in Italy he was loaned back to Rio to join Flamengo at the start of 2020. By the end of the year the club shelled out €14 million to make the deal permanent. He had proved his worth with a flurry of goals. One Brazilian commentator, a little carried away, described him as the best centre-forward in the world. Why, then, has he found it so difficult to get a place in the Flamengo starting line up?

The answer here lies in the club's financial strength and the way that the global market in players has developed. Pedro was joining a club on a high, which had just won the Copa Libertadores and the Brazilian league with a swaggering style that makes 2019 a magical memory for the fans. Key to the conquests -- and the style -- was the famous front four, striker Gabriel "Gabigol" Barbosa and Bruno Henrique, backed up by the creative talents of Everton Ribeiro and the Uruguayan Giorgian De Arrascaeta. And three years down the line, all four are still at the club.

This is a symptom of a new age of stability. A few years earlier they would have been sold. Now, Europe is not keen. Bruno Henrique and Everton Ribeiro have past 30, De Arrascaeta is 28, and even Gabigol, approaching 26, is considered old by the major European powers. They are no longer looking for the best South American players. They want the best prospects, 22 and under. Flamengo, then, still have the famous front four.

It begs a question; did they really need to make such an investment in Pedro? They have found it hard to use him. Coach after coach -- they are currently on the fifth since the resignation of Jorge Jesus, the boss in 2019 -- has gone back to the tried and trusted front four, leaving Tite watching in frustration. The Brazil coach is well aware that Pedro is unlikely to be first-choice in the Brazil attack. But he wants him as an option off the bench, seeing him as tailor made for those matches where Brazil are chasing the game, when the opponent resorts to deep defence and the action is taking place in and around their penalty area.

One such was the World Cup qualifier at home to Venezuela towards the end of 2020. Pedro came on for the last 15 minutes. It is his only full international appearance to date, but Tite has never forgotten him. Brazil's coach celebrated when it was confirmed that World Cup squads in Qatar had been increased from 23 to 26. It gives him the chance to take more attacking options, and Pedro is certainly in his thoughts.

But there have been frustrations. Flamengo would not release their player to take part in last year's Olympics -- such an important stepping stone on the road to Qatar. And Brazil's coach has been heard lamenting the striker's lack of first team opportunities.

Triumph and Williams’ electric sports bike looks as awesome as you expect

Triumph and Williams’ electric sports bike looks as awesome as you expect

Remember a bit over a year ago when Triumph released a series of sketches and serious performance promises? We do, but then we’ve been jonesing for an awesome electric bike ever since we found the sump of our Husqvarna 900 full of petrol and gave up on internal combustion entirely. To get more news about fatest ebike, you can visit magicyclebike.com official website.

And, in case the actual photos above haven’t already given the game away, you’re looking at the proper prototype of Triumph’s first foray into electric motorbikes: the TE-1. No prizes for guessing what TE-1 stands for, then.To get more news about 52V Ebike, you can visit magicyclebike.com official website.

So, now that the TE-1’s a real, rideable machine, let’s see if Triumph’s prototype lives up to the promises. To get more news about himiway ebike, you can visit magicyclebike.com official website.

The electric motor from Integral Powertrain promised about 180bhp and delivers exactly 175bhp, or enough to fling it, you and your gutful of brave pills from a standing start to 100mph in 6.2 seconds. The battery from Williams Advanced Engineering offers 100 miles of range, yet only takes 20 minutes to recharge from zero to 80 per cent. Yep, that’s zero per cent, dead flat, push-it-to-the-pits battery charge, and back to 80 per cent in the time it takes to wrestle your leathers off for a quick bathroom break and get them back on.

And the whole bike, ready to ride, weighs just 220kg. If you’re familiar with the weight penalty that generally comes with electrification (hello, two-tonne family car), getting a 175bhp all-electric motorbike in well below a quarter-tonne is a proper achievement. For a bit of context, BMW’s perennially popular R1250GS adventure bike has 134bhp and weighs 250kg, while Triumph’s own (entirely ballistic) Speed Triple 1200 RS pumps out 177bhp and weighs 198kg. On the electric side of things, the Zero SR/F offers 110bhp for its 227kg and the Livewire manages 100bhp from a 255kg bike.

So, Triumph (and Williams, Integral Powertrain, the University of Warwick and so on) have taken the TE-1 from a series of promises to a seriously promising bit of kit. Now Triumph, we know you were already thinking about it, but please, please put this into production; we’ll be the first in line to buy one. Promise.

Wheeling and Dealing: Denver's E-Bike Rebate Program Is on a Roll

Wheeling and Dealing: Denver's E-Bike Rebate Program Is on a Roll

The first time I hopped on an e-bike, I felt like I was breaking some unwritten rule about biking. But I was late for a Rockies game and needed all the help I could get — even if it came from an electric motor. By the time I arrived at Coors Field — no beads of sweat on my forehead, breathing just fine in the mile-high air — I was hooked. To get more news about fatest ebike, you can visit magicyclebike.com official website.

So when the City of Denver launched an e-bike rebate program on Earth Day, it seemed like a sign from the bike gods that it was time to pivot away from paying for Lyft and Lime e-bikes and get my own.To get more news about 52V Ebike, you can visit magicyclebike.com official website.

The rebates were offered in a few tiers: Any resident could qualify for $400, and people with more limited incomes could get a $1,200 rebate. For those interested in cargo e-bikes, which have storage capacity that can handle even Costco runs, an additional $500 was available. To get more news about himiway ebike, you can visit magicyclebike.com official website.
I wasn’t alone in applying for a rebate. News spread quickly after the Denver Office of Climate Action, Sustainability and Resiliency announced the project. By May 11, CASR had stopped accepting applications because it had already received 3,250 for a three-year program budgeted at $3 million for the first year.
We definitely anticipated some interest, but I think there was much more than we thought we would see,” says Winna MacLaren, CASR’s manager of communication and engagement. "Funny enough, it was supposed to be a soft launch.”

But since fewer than 1,000 of those rebates have been paid out so far (they’re only good for two months), CASR will again accept applications starting July 11, with 2,000 available. On July 1, 2020, the Office of Climate Action, Sustainability and Resiliency was chartered; the new city department designed to help fight climate change had been pushed by both Mayor Michael Hancock’s administration and Denver City Council. In November 2020, Denver voters approved a .25 percent sales tax increase that would generate up to $40 million a year to fund the new office starting in 2021.

This climate protection fund was earmarked for programs in a handful of categories: energy-efficient buildings and homes, adaptation and resilience, environmental justice, renewable energy, workforce development and sustainable transportation.E-bikes have been around in some form since the late nineteenth century but have really grown in popularity over the past three decades. In 2009, Colorado became one of the first states to define and legalize e-bikes. And then in 2017, the state further refined its classification system, which affects where e-bikes can be used.

The bikes range in price from around a thousand dollars to ten times that. But they all share a basic defining element: an electric motor. "They exist to make riding a bike easier,” notes Aishwarya Krishnamoorthy, director of marketing and communications at Bicycle Colorado.

E-bikes come in three classes. Class I is a pedal-assist bike, with a motor that kicks in when the biker is pedaling. Class II is a throttle-assist bike, which allows a biker to move forward without pedaling by using the throttle. Both of these classes have top speeds of 20 miles per hour. A Class III e-bike can go up to 28 miles per hour, whether the rider is using the throttle, pedal or both. Class I and II e-bikes are allowed anywhere a regular bike is in Denver, while there are more restrictions on Class III e-bikes.
