The complaints from the British watchdog resulted in a temporary suspension of the broker’s license by CySEC, which was returned within a month.

Last August, F1Markets settled with the Cypriot regulator, paying €150,000, for multiple possible violations of local regulations that came with a regulatory assessment of the company’s compliance efforts for the fulfillment of the conditions of its partial suspension and other corrective measures taken between June 2019 and July 2020.

In 2003 the Southern Metropolis Daily published an exposé about the beating to death by police of Sun Zhigang, a migrant worker in Guangzhou. Although that reporting led to four journalists being arrested, and two being sentenced to lengthy jail terms, it also resulted in the abolition of the law that had allowed the police to detain Sun in the first place.

Designated as the An-225, since it could carry up to a colossal 225 tons of cargo, the Mriya (which translates to "dream” in Ukrainian) was the largest and heaviest aircraft in the world. Originally created to transport the Buran-class orbiters in the 1980s before being retrofitted to carry oversized payloads, it housed six turbofan engines across its immense wingspan, two large vertical stabilizers, and a 32-wheel landing gear assembly — there was truly nothing like it.
Needless to say, it was upsetting when news broke in early 2022 that the only existing Mriya was destroyed during the Battle of Antonov Airport, at the outset of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.

So, when I first heard the news the team behind Microsoft Flight Simulator was moving forward with an ambitious goal of not only recreating the aircraft for everyone to enjoy in their world-class flight simulator, but equally determined to bring the real Mriya back to life, I had to learn more. I managed to catch up with Head of Microsoft Flight Simulator Jorg Neumann, shortly after the announcement of the aircraft’s launch in Microsoft Flight Simulator, to discover more about this amazing project.

"There was an outcry in the flight sim community that day [February 27, 2022] and all of us were really affected by the news,” Jorg recounts upon first hearing of Mriya’s destruction. "In our team meeting, there was an outpouring of sadness and shock. Personally, it struck me deeply as the Mriya had also been a symbol of mankind’s ingenuity… it was in that meeting that I quite emotionally said we need to preserve the memory of this great aircraft in our sim.”
After the meeting, Jorg contacted Chief Pilot for Antonov Airlines Dmytro Antonov via LinkedIn and reached out to their Microsoft office in Ukraine. At that time, no one in Ukraine was able to talk to about digital preservation of the An-225, but one key contact, Alexander Matsko, embraced the idea of bringing Mriya into Microsoft Flight Simulator.

"It was delightful news for us, considering the high professional level of the Microsoft team and their high international reputation,” described Deputy General Director for Ukraine’s Antonov Airlines Viktor Avdieiev, upon hearing the news that Microsoft was trying to bring the An-225 back in a flight simulator. "This aircraft occupied a special place in global aviation history; no such other plane exists… Thanks to this product, many people get to know this powerful bird and will love it as we do.”

The Ash wood dice tower nestles securely into an end cap on the Origins and Origins LIT tables. The towers are available in multiple finished, so you can match them to the finish on your table.

The dice roll very well, and as you can see there’s a nice wide opening at the top of the tower to drop them. And no matter how many times I used it, none of dice escaped the base tray. Ideally, I’d want to have two of these towers, at opposite corners of the table.

Much like the dice tower, the tiered tray slots right into any end cap on the Origins and Origins LIT tables. It is also made of Ash wood, and comes in multiple finishes.

With five different trays that swivel, you can easily hold any amount of tokens that a game throws out at you. They’re great to use as a bank, freeing up some additional space on your gaming surface.

As I said way back in my original review of the Origins game table, "I feel like this table will be a part of my gaming experience for many years to come.” And my table is definitely living up to that opinion.

That makes them ripe for Fox News to hold up as some form of boogeyman to scare up their base, a group that is famously resistant to change. And e-bikes are exactly the kind of change that Fox News would vilify – a low-cost technology that helps Americans of all socioeconomic levels get around without a clutching dependence on Big Oil and Big Auto.
You might have heard about electric bicycle fires in the news lately, as it is a topic that is getting increasing coverage despite the relatively few events. Even with minimal incidents compared to the number of e-bikes rolling around the city, examining any threat to public safety is certainly warranted. Between the dense urban population of NYC and the higher-than-average number of e-bikes used in the city, the issue has become a growing concern.

What you might not know (since it is much less frequently reported) is that most of these electric bike fires aren’t related to electric bikes at all – they’re much cheaper electric scooters. Most of the pictures of these fire aftermaths show charred husks of cheap Chinese e-scooters.

But regardless of the semantics, the underlying concern is this: Why do these batteries catch on fire, and how concerned should the public be?
